Developed in Norway, the Kebony technology is an environmentally friendly, patented process that enhances the properties of sustainable softwood with a bio-based liquid. The process permanently modifies the wood cell walls giving Kebony premium hardwood characteristics and a rich brown color. It installs twice as fast as ipê, is highly durable, and requires no maintenance beyond normal cleaning.
Recognized as Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum and listed as a Global Cleantech 100 company, Kebony has been embraced by leading architects and developers all over the world for a wide variety of applications.
Recently, with long-term performance studies surpassing expectations, Kebony upgraded its warranty from 25 to 30 years.
KEBONY U.S. MANAGER
In what is approaching two decades on the calendar here at Biewer Lumber/Pine River Group, I have been very blessed and thankful to have served in both operational and sales management. Both roles have deep meaning to me and the ability to marry the two, in my current position, has proved to be the ultimate intrigue. The autonomy we are afforded here keeps every day, week, month and year fresh and inspiring through great challenge.
In my spare time away from my favorite hobby of business, I enjoy spending time with my beautiful bride and four children, generally doing something outside...riding our horses, hunting, fishing, woodworking and outdoor ministry. I like to live by the motto 'Always content, never satisfied'... and so the story continues.
WESTERN REGIONAL SALES MANAGER
My career started upon graduating from the University of Texas with a degree in History. After college, I worked for a non-profit youth outreach as an area director, however I realized that the non-profit world wasn’t quite for me. I did however learn through my time there how to cast a vision, build momentum for a movement and lead/be part of a team of individuals working together. I felt like my fundraising skills would translate into sales and with having woodworking experience in college, I decided to see if a local lumber mill needed salesmen. The history major in me loves the story of the wood industry. I started up with Delta Millworks and eventually became their Sales Manager. It was an exciting company to work with as they sat at the forefront of the wood movement. In three years, we established ourselves as the world’s leading producer of charred wood; forming relationships with architects and builders all over the country. I am passionate about sustainability and wood being used in architectural projects and I love to focus on design specifications closely with architecture firms and general contractors. Kebony was a great fit and I am excited for more of the building industry to become familiar with this high performing, environmentally friendly product. I am excited to grow Kebony’s presence in the West and build a team of reps working hard to promote this great wood option.
I’m a lifelong Texan and native Austinite and I have immense pride in my state and hometown. I am married to a beautiful and awesome wife, Grace who is my best friend and travel partner. We have a big English Labrador who we love to play with and take on adventures. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, fishing, hunting, movie going, sportswriting and I attempt to call myself a woodworker. I am a huge fan of the San Antonio Spurs and Texas Longhorns. I am thankful God has put the people and opportunities he has in my life and I strive to be a light for Him in the business world.
INSIDE SALES MANAGER
I came to Pine River Group in 2015 with a strong background in sales management. I have a B.A. in Political Science/Business Administration from Mercyhurst College, where I was a member of the NCAA Division II Women's Tennis Team. As a sales professional I work closely with specifying architects and contractors to educate and inform prospective customers on our products. I focus primarily on Kebony decking and agricultural products and work in conjunction with our outside sales team and retail customers.
When I'm not at work, I'm spending time with my family, including my 3-year-old son. He keeps me on my toes! I also enjoy kayaking and playing volleyball in my spare time.
ARCHITECTURAL REPRESENTATIVE (NEW ENGLAND)
I recently joined the team at Pine River Group but have been involved with building since I was old enough to hold a hammer. I have participated in sales and building all my life which has given me the know-how and skills necessary to begin a professional career at a young age. I have extensive experience in supporting architects and contractors with all sorts of projects in climates ranging from my home area in Central Pennsylvania, all the way to South Africa.
During the rise of my experience as a sales professional, I completed a B.A. in Business Management and a secondary degree in Applied Ethics from West Chester University of PA. I joined Pine River Group directly after my graduation in the winter of 2018. I appreciate that my job allows me the opportunity to share in excitement and apply problem solving skills to real world obstacles. I’ve long since walked by the words, “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life” and am confident that they will once again ring true in my role at Pine River Group.
Outside of my passion for sales, my other interests include: playing the cello & drums, building computers, camping & hiking, welding, carpentry and studying philosophy.
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA REGIONAL SALES MANAGER
Since coming on board in the Spring of 2019, it's been an immediate adventure as the company's Regional Sales Manager for Southern California. With a 20-year background in the promotion and sale of construction industry products, systems and services, my love and respect for the built environment runs wide and deep, and now extends into the poignant and foundational world of wood.
Previous experience in paving the way for European construction technologies into the North American marketplace has afforded me the unique privilege of operating among the many behind-the-scenes complexities of this amazing industry, which has shaped my own architect mind and contractor heart (and on that note, if you've read and cherished the unabridged version of The Fountainhead, I may just be your long-lost bestie).
I am beyond grateful to have lived all over these great United States, and to have finally boomerang-ed back to my native land of Southern California, where I reside with the most incredible husband and partner in life and faith (whom I met in the construction industry, of course!), and our uber-adorable maltipoo fur babies. There's definitely something to be said for my tomato gardening and subsequent sauce-making skills, and if I ever were to get a tattoo, it would be DEU 8:17-18.
I joined Pine River Group in the spring of 2018, bringing with me over 20 years of experience in the building industry. My start was in vinyl windows in my home state of Ohio, which eventually brought me to my new home state of Michigan where I had the opportunity to work with a multitude of exterior building products. In my current role at Pine River Group my sales abilities are focused on the growth and expansion of Kebony in the US. I am thrilled to be working with such a fine group of professionals and am grateful to be in a place that I look forward to coming to every day.
When I’m not at work, I can most often be found at my home gardening, baking and spending time with my family. I am the mother of three amazing young adults and wife of a pretty wonderful business owner/hunter/storyteller extraordinaire. All in all it’s a very good life!
