Joanna Olmstead — Inside Sales Manager / Kebony & Marine Product Coordinator
I came to Pine River Group in 2015 with a strong background in sales management. I have a B.A. in Political Science/Business Administration from Mercyhurst College. As a sales professional I work closely with specifying architects and contractors to educate and inform prospective customers on our products. I focus primarily on Kebony decking and agricultural products and work in conjunction with our outside sales team and retail customers.
When I'm not at work, I'm spending time with my family, including my 2-year-old son. He keeps me on my toes! I also enjoy kayaking and playing volleyball in my spare time.

David Johnson — Fencing Product Manager
Prior to being a part of the team at Pine River Group, I was a solider in the United States Army for 8 years. Maybe one of the best moves I've ever made — being young and needing a little direction and humility in my life. After my time in the service and having met my beautiful wife, I made use of my previous sales experience from recruiting and working for my father's company to become a Sales Manager for Lowe's Home Improvement. Two years into my role at Lowe's, I was promoted to Area Installation Manager for Southeast Michigan, making me responsible for the installation program and crews operational at 24 Lowe's locations.
My primary focus at Pine River Group has been developing a relational selling program to distributors and independent fence contractors. I also work to strengthen our presence in the marketplace for all treated lumber products, while showing our customers the value in controlling the process from start to finish. Last year proved to be one of the strongest years we've had so far and I’m looking forward to continuing that growth in 2017.
Personally I love to have fun and enjoy life while making a difference. I have four wonderful children — one son, three daughters — and have been married for 10 years. I enjoy anything outdoors including fishing, hunting, sports, running and riding my motorcycle. I thank the Lord every day for each opportunity and struggle that He's put in my life.

Kelsey Biewer — Marketing Director & Fence Product Coordinator
My career at Biewer Lumber / Pine River Group began in the spring of 2013, after graduating from Michigan State University with a B.A. in Marketing and a Specialization in Design. Honestly, I never thought I’d work for the family business, but to my happy surprise I fell in love with the people, the industry, the work and I consider myself blessed to be able to say that I truly love what I do.
In my current role I wear two hats; marketing and sales. The marketing side provides an outlet to express my creativity and passion for consumer targeting and promotions. While the sales side lets me have fun interacting with customers and gives me a sense of accomplishment when I’m able to help them. It’s really the best of both worlds and a perfect fit for me.
I’m blessed to have an amazing family and a wonderful group of friends, so when I’m not at work you can usually find me spending time laughing with them. I also love to travel, hunt, play with my dog Charlie and shop. And during the summer months I try to spend as much time on the water as possible; in fact as a child I wanted to be a mermaid more than anything and was crushed when I realized that might not be the most realistic career path.

Andy Hehl — Kebony U.S. Manager
With two decades on the calendar here at Biewer Lumber/Pine River Group, I have been very blessed and thankful to have served in both operational and sales management. Both roles have deep meaning to me and the ability to marry the two, in my current position, has proved to be the ultimate intrigue. The autonomy we are afforded here keeps every day, week, month and year fresh and inspiring through great challenge.
In my spare time away from my favorite hobby of business, I enjoy spending time with my beautiful bride and four children, generally doing something outside...riding our horses, hunting, fishing, woodworking and outdoor ministry. I like to live by the motto 'Always content, never satisfied'... and so the story continues.
Taylor Young — Kebony U.S. Western Regional Sales Manager
My career started upon graduating from the University of Texas with a degree in History. After college, I worked for a non-profit youth outreach as an area director, however I realized that the non-profit world wasn’t quite for me. I did however learn through my time there how to cast a vision, build momentum for a movement and lead/be part of a team of individuals working together. I felt like my fundraising skills would translate into sales and with having woodworking experience in college, I decided to see if a local lumber mill needed salesmen. The history major in me loves the story of the wood industry. I started up with Delta Millworks and eventually became their Sales Manager. It was an exciting company to work with as they sat at the forefront of the wood movement. In three years, we established ourselves as the world’s leading producer of charred wood; forming relationships with architects and builders all over the country. I am passionate about sustainability and wood being used in architectural projects and I love to focus on design specifications closely with architecture firms and general contractors. Kebony was a great fit and I am excited for more of the building industry to become familiar with this high performing, environmentally friendly product. I am excited to grow Kebony’s presence in the West and build a team of reps working hard to promote this great wood option.
I’m a lifelong Texan and native Austinite and I have immense pride in my state and hometown. I am married to a beautiful and awesome wife, Grace who is my best friend and travel partner. We have a big English Labrador who we love to play with and take on adventures. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, fishing, hunting, movie going, sports writing and I attempt to call myself a woodworker. I am a huge fan of the San Antonio Spurs and Texas Longhorns. I am thankful God has put the people and opportunities he has in my life and I strive to be a light for Him in the business world.
Connie Dewbre — Kebony Product Coordinator
I joined Pine River Group in the spring of 2018, bringing with me over 20 years of experience in the building industry. My start was in vinyl windows in my home state of Ohio, which eventually brought me to my new home state of Michigan where I had the opportunity to work with a multitude of exterior building products. In my current role at Pine River Group my sales abilities are focused on the growth and expansion of Kebony in the US. I am thrilled to be working with such a fine group of professionals and am grateful to be in a place that I look forward to coming to every day.
When I’m not at work, I can most often be found at my home gardening, baking and spending time with my family. I am the mother of three amazing young adults and wife of a pretty wonderful business owner/hunter/storyteller extraordinaire. All in all it’s a very good life!

Silas Betz — Kebony Architectural Representative (New England)
I recently joined the team at Pine River Group but have been involved with building since I was old enough to hold a hammer. I have participated in sales and building all my life which has given me the know-how and skills necessary to begin a professional career at a young age. I have extensive experience in supporting architects and contractors with all sorts of projects in climates ranging from my home area in Central Pennsylvania, all the way to South Africa.
During the rise of my experience as a sales professional, I completed a B.A. in Business Management and a secondary degree in Applied Ethics from West Chester University of PA. I joined Pine River Group directly after my graduation in the winter of 2018. I appreciate that my job allows me the opportunity to share in excitement and apply problem solving skills to real world obstacles. I’ve long since walked by the words, “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life” and am confident that they will once again ring true in my role at Pine River Group.
Outside of my passion for sales, my other interests include: playing the cello & drums, building computers, camping & hiking, welding, carpentry and studying philosophy.

Kelsey McCormick — Sales Assistant & Agriculture Product Coordinator
My career began after graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business from Gannon University, where I was an active member of the Women’s Swim Team, specializing in distance races. While enrolled, I interned at a luxury golf course in Erie, Pennsylvania where I refined my skills in business administration and customer account management. Shortly after graduation I started my career at Pine River Group in early 2017. In my current role I support all of our divisions, with a concentration in agricultural sales, through administrative processing and account detailing. What surprised me most about Pine River Group is the level of professionalism and strong sense of camaraderie; PRG is more than a company, it’s a family and I am very grateful to be part of such a wonderful team!
Outside of the office I love spending quality time with my family, friends and five cats – crazy cat lady and proud! I also enjoy going to concerts, traveling, running, baking and watching the latest box office hits.

Gary Cummins — Commercial/Marine/DOT Product Manager
I have been with Biewer Lumber LLC and Pine River Group for over 36 years. In that time I have held positions in inside sales, outside sales, and plant manager of the St. Clair treating plant for more than 11 years. My years of experience in wholesale lumber, poles and piling and treating give me a unique perspective on working in the area of commercial sales. I am proud to have been the first person involved in what is now the Pine River Group and have enjoyed watching the division’s growth and success over the years.
Outside of the company I enjoy watching all sports, having played recreational softball for 30 years until the knees gave out. I love golf and plan to take my talents on the Senior PGA tournament upon retirement.

Leo Colantuono — Business Development Manager
I’ve been with the company for 13 years now, most of which was spent in the Sawmill Sales division of our parent company, Biewer Lumber LLC. I held multiple positions during my tenure there, including Sawmill Sales Manager and then when our new mill was built in Newton, Mississippi, I took on a more southern-focused sales role that sought new business opportunities and overall expansion. In January of 2018 I was asked to start a new division of our company, Biewer Trading, which aimed to bring more value to customers by expanding our offering outside of what can be considered our company’s “comfort zone.” That kind of out-of-the-box thinking and arena for creativity is something I love and thrive on. This role grew naturally to include the opportunity to work with Pine River Group on government projects, which, at that point, was a world our company had not been actively involved in. The dual-role I find myself in is fast paced, collaborative and very customer-centric which has proved to be the perfect combination for me – I consider myself very blessed to be where I am, with the team we’ve built, for a company I respect.
When I’m not in the office I’m usually staying active as a husband and father generally does. I have a beautiful wife and daughter, with another child on the way. I also enjoy camping, water skiing, golfing and working out.
